On byQuite a fascinating move on behalf of SQ to fly to IAH via DME. Obviously, they must conduct a thorough review of this route and realized that there is quite a little of demand in J & F course because of this sector hence why not jump on to the music group wagon before Continental does. With Russia’s essential oil and energy industries currently experiencing a huge boom, linking two major “oil & energy capital” towns should witness a fair amount of high-yielding J-course passengers. From IAH, SQ also needs to be able to appeal to high-yielding business destined for SIN/KUL/JKT/BKK as the SQ brand name carries a great deal of weight in Texas. SQ’s cargo business too will discover big business with this new flight.

Mission Pie always has three pies: Banana Cream, Walnut, and Chess pie (made out of seasonal fruits). On Saturdays and Fridays they add in Chocolate Cream, and Sundays will have a fun “nostalgic” flavor. All of those other lineup is rounded out by seasonal pies, like the incredible Lemon Shaker pie in the wintertime.
I finally got a chance to try some of these signature pies, along with a end of summer months/early fall seasonal offering. As always, I wasn’t to their crusts. The crust is fine, pretty, fluted, but hard kinda, and not very flavorful just. It really is fine, really, not really worthy of talking about or craving just.
29 for a full pie. Walnut (Everyday Signature Pie). I adore pecan pie, and I don’t dislike walnuts, but also for some reason walnut pies often craze very bitter for me personally. But Mission Pie actually didn’t have this issue, as, well, I believe their pies have a tendency to be overly sweet. I liked the walnut pie. The custard filling was sweet and complimented the walnuts, and these nut products weren’t as excessively bitter as so a great many other bakers. There were a good number of large size walnuts, a good percentage with the custard, not runny. An excellent pie, no question.
I’d gladly have it again. I believe my third favorite of most their pies. Best warm, and better with vanilla-snow cream or whipped cream even. Raspberry Chess (Seasonal Signature Pie). Mission Pie always has a Chess pie on the menu but rotates with seasonal fruits. The raspberry was tried by me one, a summer offering. I laughed a little when I saw it though, the uh, distribution of raspberries was unequal fairly. The berries were fine, juicy pop of fruit, but I had been glad to get one without much fruit, as I dislike the seeds in the berries. However the excellent part of this pie was the chess pie filling up, and that I adored. Excellent, nice, solid custard.
