You employ a good question and I’ll try to enable you to get through the steps of fabricating a complete wordpress template from my current perspective. Step 1 1 – Gathering information Before you begin to create your code the very first thing to do is a gathering with your customer.
Ask about his company, the business plan and let him show you what other websites he enjoys. Then you make a filthy and quick layout on the paper based on what your customer wants. If your customer’s expectations are wrong from the UX perspective, point it out and try to present a proper alternative. Step 2 2 – Design The next thing is to create a prototype that would appear to be an actual website (mobile and desktop).
You may use a Photoshop because of this, but it has way too many options and is a bit expensive. You can use free alternatives like Gimp, but the best is “Adobe XD” (and it is premium as well). After design corrections and demonstration, it is time to code. Step 3 3 – Coding Create your template using good practices like “mobile first”.
